Third grade students from the local area are given a slice of life as it existed in the mid-1800's. Besides touring the Round House/Dibble Museum, they also learn about and engage in hands-on activities from the past such as: grinding corn, • Learn about and engage in hands-on activities from the past.
• Activities include: grinding corn, washing clothes, roping cattle, grinding corn and beans, making toys, and playing games.

The local third grade students will be so excited to do all the hands-on activities that people did on the Rancho La Puente in the 1850s. Our field trips supports the CA State Standard 3.3 “Students draw from historical and community resources to organize the sequence of local historical events and describe how each period of settlement left it’s mark on the land”.
